ACCESS TO HEALTH

AEHRPI works to promote health sector management and governance: We provide knowledge and information on health as a fundamental human right; conduct evidence-based advocacy for reforms in health policies; and promote affordable access to essential medicine.

LEGAL AID AND JUDICIAL REFORM

AEHRPI conducts research, propose and support revisions to laws that impacts human rights and development; provide legal aid to poor and marginalized people; build capacities of judges, lawyers, human rights defenders and law enforcement personnel.

ACCESS TO ECONOMIC, SOCIAL & CULTURAL RIGHTS

AEHRPI advocates for the full recognition, effective realization and justiciability of economic, social and cultural (ESC) rights. AEHRPI documents violations of ESC rights, works with public officials to change policies, and supports victims by using local, regional and international mechanisms to access remedies.

PROMOTION OF GOOD GOVERNANCE

AEHRPI works with governments to promote equity, participation, pluralism, peaceful resolution of conflicts, transparency, accountability and the rule of law, in a manner that is effective, efficient and anchors the concept and its application to the Africa’s realities and priorities.
